Commercial F&I bridge

Commercial F&I products solve different problems. A useful product menu starts by separating mechanical breakdown, total-loss balance exposure, road hazards, lost keys, scheduled maintenance, and vocational equipment—then matching each need only to an eligible product and transaction.

Program focus

  • Commercial vehicle service contracts
  • Commercial GAP where eligible
  • Tire and wheel protection
  • Key replacement programs
  • Prepaid maintenance where available
  • Vocational equipment protection

What matters

A program should fit the operation—not just the vehicle.

01

Start with the risk

Each product should answer a distinct customer need instead of being presented as a generic bundle.

02

Verify commercial use

Consumer product eligibility should never be assumed for a business-use vehicle, upfit, fleet application, or medium-duty unit.

03

Use the contract

The actual agreement controls eligibility, covered events, benefits, exclusions, limits, cancellation, claims, and refunds.

Frequently asked questions

Which commercial F&I product should be presented first?

There is no universal order. Start with the customer’s actual risks and the vehicle’s eligibility. Explain each product separately so the customer can make an informed decision.

Can commercial products be bundled?

Programs may permit multiple products in one transaction, but each agreement remains separate and has its own eligibility, price, benefits, exclusions, cancellation terms, and claims process.

Are consumer F&I products valid for commercial vehicles?

Not automatically. Commercial use, vehicle class, mileage, upfits, business application, ownership, and state requirements may change or eliminate eligibility.

Every product has its own controlling agreement.

Product availability, eligibility, benefits, terms, limits, deductibles, maintenance requirements, claims procedures, cancellations, refunds, and exclusions vary by program, vehicle, transaction, use, provider, and state. No product is insurance unless expressly issued as an insurance product. Review each signed agreement before enrollment.
